Ciao! My name is Hattie, as long as I can remember I have loved traveling. I believe experiencing other cultures and their way of life helps to broaden your horizons and understand that there isn’t one right way to live. Growing up I was fortunate that my parents saw the value in seeing the world and for that I will always be thankful and attribute my love of exploration to them.
In 2007 I met Nick, my husband who also enjoys seeing the world. We now travel every opportunity we get and work hard while we are home so that we are able to do so. To him I am grateful for his work ethic and care he puts towards myself, our dog and home. Plus he is constantly making me laugh.
For the past three years we have been running a food truck alongside the business Nick opened five years ago, to which he has been working hard at 6-7 days a week. We decided it was time to minimize our life and sell the food truck. It was time to focus on us and get our store ready for employees. We fell in love with Italy after spending our honeymoon here and ever since have wanted to live in Firenze (Florence).
Well the time has come! We are here in Italy living our dream contemplating our next move. I initially wanted to start this blog to share our experience with family and friends but have decided to open it to the world. So, on my site you will be able to find food recommendations, travel tips, photos, and our stories.
